3D CAD Design

Our engineers work in three-dimensional computer-aided design, to create design
solutions which precisely represents and allows you to visualize your products. We
help you to explore and share ideas, visualize concepts and simulate how designs
will perform before they are made.

Robotic Welding

Robotic welding systems maximizes production efficiency with speed,
accuracy, and consistency. We join together a variety of custom stampings
along with laser cut and pressed parts to supply our customers a
higher level of assembly.

CNC Cutting and Punch Press

CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Cutting and Punch Press allows
us to minimize setup times and increase productivity to produce a wide
range of parts in volume. The manufacturing process yields high accuracy
of parts – efficiently and quickly.

All of our manufacturing facilities have the capacity to produce product solutions in stainless steel, aluminum and steel.   • 1946

    Founded in 1946 by Irving Holtz and his brother Mannie Holtz, Winholt began as a shopping cart distributor to neighborhood supermarkets in NYC.

    Together they began expanding the company’s product line and business, selling to original supermarket chains like King Kullen and A&P.

  • 1967

    Winholt moved to Garden City, Long Island, in New York and opened its first manufacturing facility designing material handling equipment.

    An industry standard, the “Classic” U-Boat was born.

    Originally designed with a wood deck, todays U-Boat has diamond steel decking.

  • 1977

    In 1977 Jonathan Holtz joined his father and uncle in the business.

    Jon immediately established solid working relationships with the fast-emerging mass merchandising and home center chains.

  • 1980’s

    Winholt expands manufacturing nationally opening facilities in Texas, Georgia, and California, becoming a leading USA manufacturer with a national supply chain advantage.

  • 1998 to 2003

    Winholt expanded further during this time into the bakery and foodservice industries selling to restaurants, hotels, catering facilities and restaurant chains.

    In addition, the company experiences growth through acquisitions of Nu-Vu, Wilder and SPF companies.

  • 2000

    Winholt practices a “We Care” culture to be a positive influence and model of how business should be conducted for our customers, associates, suppliers, and community.

  • 2006

    Overcoming adversity – July 4, 2006 – lightning struck our manufacturing facility in Garden City, NY.

    Having multiple manufacturing facilities, we were able to divert NY orders to our GA, TX, and CA plants.

    All the facilities ran expanded shifts to increase production which allowed us to maintain on time shipments to our customers.

  • 2007

    New York manufacturing is moved to a new location in Allentown, PA.

    Now with manufacturing operations resorted on the east coast we continue to offer our customers a national supply chain advantage with facilities in PA, TX and CA.

  • 2009

    Dominick Scarfogliero, an intricate part of Winholt’s management team is promoted to President & COO.

    Jonathan Holtz becomes Chairman & CEO and remains actively involved in global development and overall strategic direction of the company.

  • 2012

    Winholt expands the product line to include Custom Stainless Steel Fabrication.

    Building to our customers specifications, focused on the custom details to supply the highest quality products that are NSF, ETL and UL listed.

  • 2016

    Seeing a trend in online ordering Winholt started to design and manufacture equipment for e-commerce, chain fulfillment and order picking, and distribution centers.

    Over the next few years and through Covid-19, all industries, experienced growth in online ordering. This growth is projected to continue in the future.

  • 2018

    Dominick Scarfogliero promoted to President and CEO, with Jonathan Holtz remaining as the company’s Chairman.

    Jonathan Holtz, Winholt’s Chairman, stated: “Dominick has contributed tremendously to the company’s growth since he moved into the role as President & COO in 2009. Winholt has a strong history of being a leader in our markets, and I am very confident in Dominick’s abilities to continue to successfully grow the company in the future.   • 2020

    Our Dallas Texas facility expansion opened in October 2020, it has added significant manufacturing and supply chain capacity.

    We’ve invested additional automated capital equipment that has added to our US manufacturing efficiencies and shortened lead times which supports our customers.

  • 2021

    Winholt’s California manufacturing facility moves to Ontario doubling the warehouse space with increased manufacturing and logistics capabilities.

We manufacture using high quality, high precision equipment. Our capabilities include: CNC Automated Punch Cuts, Robotic Welding, Laser Cutting, CNC Forming and Bending, 3D CAD Modeling Design and Powder Coating.

Once welded, our products are polished, seam edges and welds are buffed to a clean bright shine. We quality-inspect each product to ensure that it is manufactured to the
exact specifications, before it is crated
and shipped.

We continuously make improvements to enhance your experience as a Winholt customer — we have an industry-leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to support our overall business operations, allowing us to achieve operational excellence and improve productivity while meeting your expectations. We offer our customers the opportunity for onboarding with electronic Data Interchange (EDI) to allow electronic communication for faster processing of purchase orders and invoices. In addition, we offer GS1 US system standards for unique
product identification.
